EVO chairs have their concept based on the harmonic fusion of geometric shapes and their relationships, combined with the modern interpretation of wooden archetypes. these characteristics inspire the designers' traits in the composition of the evo chair, a creation that represents their formal evolution combined with a 100% handcrafted, CNC-machined solid wood craft. this project directly represents the union between the values of designers and the industry, as well as the real balance between automation and industrial definition in synergy with manual finishing, to create a product that values ergonomics and welcomes with your comfort, without giving up the aesthetic virtues that aim to make an impact with its unique, light, minimalist design with many details. In the back portion, also in solid wood, reminiscent of a sheet of paper flying, we sought a minimum thickness of 6mm, this search for delicacy is present in all the elements of the chair, to obtain the structural essence of the carefully selected solid blocks. The manufacturing process begins with the selection of the best solid wood blocks that meet quality standards, in terms of humidity, strength and grain. Then these blocks are standardized, CNC machined 5-axis hybrid. Assembly is done manually only by glue-fixed fittings. Sanding is carried out until the surfaces become soft to the touch and welcoming, using several grades of sandpaper. Finally, a light pigmentation is given to standardize the shade offered in three options or solid black(ebonized). In the upholstered version, coated foam is implemented inside the channel created by CNC at the beginning of the process. At all stages, the structures are reviewed and undergo a thorough quality control. Carved from wooden blocks and crafted only with fittings and millimeter thicknesses, without the use of metal or screws. The accent comes from a continuous block of wood, in the version with a tapered accent, a recess is made directly in this block, which allows the introduction of foam and coating in a tangent manner. The project represents a minimalist and modern way of thinking, with respect to materials and in a sustainable way. A project that goes beyond aesthetics and uses the potential between industry and design in its purest state. 120 units were made available in certified and documented solid black walnut. The motivation is to create a collection 100% in solid machined wood that represents the aesthetic evolution of the office in synergy with the Brazilian industry, where the well-detailed shapes create an interesting and well-balanced result between comfort and aesthetics, in the quest to extract the coherent design. that respects the matter and lasts over time. The collection offers different types of finishes and versions to flexibly meet a wide range of demanding customers looking for objects with depth of study and cutting-edge execution. The project was developed for three years until the definition of each element was reached.
