I use plants and mushrooms to create works on paper that are both ephemeral and familiar

Madge Evers is an educator, gardener, and visual artist whose work celebrates photosynthesis and the ancient collaboration in mycorrhiza. Her practice involves foraging for mushrooms and plants, and sometimes includes the cyanotype process and paint. Various artist residencies, including in Ireland, at the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, Mount Auburn Cemetery, the Kinney Renaissance Center, and on Cape Cod and in Maine, have allowed Evers to interact with landscapes and their histories. Her work has been published in Antennae: The Journal of Nature in Visual Culture and acquired by private and institutional collectors. Madge also facilitates cyanotype workshops for people of all ages.
