Original, one of a kind wall hanging textile sculpture made from organic cotton, rayon, and repurposed stage rigging rope.
Natural and synthetic fibers are hand-coiled around reclaimed rope that is woven, knotted, sculpted, and stitched into a solid soft sphere that easily hangs on the wall.
This is a unique fiber sculpture that adds texture and movement to any space. The combination of soft organic undyed cotton and the light-catching sheen of nylon add to the delicate luminosity of this piece. Celestial Pearl can pop on a bright wallpaper background or integrate seamlessly into a minimal design. The title Celestial Pearl simultaneously conjures memories of the moon and organic sea treasure. This hand coiled sculpture captures movement, light, and shadows present in the skies and seas intertwining personal and ancient mythologies.
