‘Carry, 3’ 2024
This piece is made from a pair of driftwood pieces gathered from the Mohawk River in Upstate New York. The smaller light toned piece hangs delicately from the larger wavy grey plank, and a wire hanger on back is made using century-old wire gathered from the field lines of my farmstead.
The rust of the antique wire and character of history blends well with the driftwood. It is done by hand, with heart. The driftwood has gone through my usual process of carving, sanding and burnishing, while still leaving natural, raw details. The surface is finished by hand burnishing only.
Measures approx. 56” x 5” x 2”. A loop hanger is on back.

• These pieces are all one of a kind and completely done by myself, from collecting the driftwood in Upstate New York, to carving, sanding, burnishing, wiring, and lastly packing it up to ship to you!
