This is a unique and heavy solid mahogany frame with a small gold inner rim. The painting I did for it is dramatic and simple, with lots of texture. The abstract painting is in oils, over gesso on a hardboard canvas panel. The painting is finished off with several coats of varnish for protection.
Although the frame is vintage, it is in almost perfect condition and is a lovely charcoal black color. This would be fun to layer on a mantel with other art or to use as an accent in a bookcase.
The artwork size within the frame is 8x10 and the overall size of the piece is 14x16. Wired and ready to hang, signed on the back.
