Latin for “happy” or “lucky,” Felix is inspired by the deeply rooted culinary traditions of regional Italy and enriched with ingredients grown by California’s greatest family farms. The bright, rustic space is now a finalist for the American Institute of Architects LA 2017 Restaurant Design Awards.
Located in Venice Beach, California, Felix Trattoria is a new restaurant by chef Evan Funke, restaurateur Janet Zuccarini, with interior design by Wendy Hayworth. Evan Funke is a culinary storyteller, a custodian of Italian tradition and a master of the old world techniques of handmade pasta. Janet stands out as a woman and entrepreneur in the restaurant industry: she's behind Gusto 54, Trattoria Nervosa, and Felix to name a few. Wendy creates custom interiors with a collected feel that reflect the personality and vision of her clients. Before turning to interior design, Wendy worked for Vogue and Elle magazines as a photo editor.
