How does the design of your space (or an element of the design) impact the experiences people have there?
"Because our space is so simple and natural, it doesn’t take away from the food-it compliments it. My husband Jason and I (Katherine) love really good, thoughtfully made food. But we are also very casual people. You won’t find us out and about in a suit + tie. We wanted to create a space where we could eat the food we love and still keep things casual. Our food is made with a lot of precision + high standards, but it doesn’t seem so “fancy” when your sitting on a wood bench made from Arizona lumber, under a copper hammered light fixture from Morocco. With our space being so simple, we made sure every element was made out of either high quality materials, was repurposed, or made by a local artisan."
