Hard Water is a collaboration between Slanted Door designer Olle Lundberg and that restaurant's mastermind, Charles Phan. Located on Pier 3 on the Embarcadero, it is chef Phan's take on New Orleans-inspired cuisine, with stellar waterfront views and a very large American whiskey bar.
Entering this gorgeous, 1,300-square-foot-space, you’ll be greeted by a massive wall of every kind of whiskey imaginable, and a mind-blowing selection of hard-to-find bourbons. Sip flights of the rare stuff as you chow down on Crescent City favorites: plates of crispy fried chicken, oysters, pimento cheese dip and hush puppies.
Lundberg’s mission statement for Hard Water is written in the cocktail menu: “Our goal for this bar is for it to be a place that you can take your best friend, who you maybe don’t see that often, to have a drink that you know they will remember the rest of their life.”
