Absinthe Brasserie & Bar opened in 1997 and is one of the longest-running and most convivial dining institutions in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood.
Done up like a Parisian café of the Belle Epoque with rattan chairs, copper-topped tables, mosaic tile flooring and antique posters, it's a lively, informal décor evocative of turn-of-the-century France, and a great place for late-night cocktails and snacks.
Solid French bistro fare combined with a bar program that has truly pushed the art of mixology also make this a great spot for a late brunch or after-work drinks.
