Guests are warmly welcomed into Shakewell for seasonal shared plates and social cocktails. Flavors from Chef/Partner Jennifer Biesty’s kitchen are influenced by Spain, Turkey, and North Africa then infused with a seasonal Californian twist.
The tapas-style menu is fresh, healthy, house-made, and prepared daily. The atmosphere is vibrant, lively, and convivial like a Mediterranean home-kitchen. The bar, however, is the focal point and where guests gather for bites and beverages. There are six classic cocktails, six rotating seasonal cocktails, an eclectic local/Mediterranean wine list and a small, locally focused beer list.
For your first visit, come with friends and start with small plates (greens, little fish, bombas, meats, sides for sharing). Try a seasonal specialty (or General Manager Tim Nugent's favorite, a vodka Negroni after a hard day at work). Finish with any of General Manager/Partner Tim Nugent's famous desserts.
