Despite its name, The Dutch restaurant in SoHo isn't Dutch at all. Chef Andrew Carmellini's award-winning new American menu features choice meats, fish, shellfish, an oyster bar, and local produce. In 2011, The New York Times named The Dutch the best restaurant to open that year. The atmosphere is cozy but vibrant, with white brick walls, comfortable booths and a bustling wooden bar.

The clean, inviting design was done by Roman and Williams, which custom made everything by hand, from the lights to the banquets to the huge wooden light fixtures that The Times compared to massive pencil tops by Claes Oldenburg.
