My artistic expression is free, intuitive and full of emotion.

Maria Bacha is a Greek artist and her signature style is characterised by ethereal abstract artworks. In her work, she dives into personal experiences to explore and connect with the sea of the collective subconscious. The artist lives in London and Greece and exhibits internationally. She recently received her MFA from the Royal College of Art, and she is expanding her explorations with a more interdisciplinary approach.

After early studies in Child Psychology and Somatic Psychotherapy, Maria earned her BA in Studio Arts from the University of La Verne, California, she studied next to the Greek painter Michalis Veloudios, attended courses at RISD and MOMA and was the Head Art Teacher for ten years at the Hadzivei Elementary School. She illustrated books for the Greek public school and she created many set designs for children's theatrical plays. She is also a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts.

Works by Maria Bacha are in private collections worldwide. Also, the Greek Ministry of Culture purchased her artwork in 2020 and to date, her works have been shown at solo, group exhibitions and art fairs in Greece, London and Los Angeles.
