Hidden Words is a customizable wall piece that transforms a familiar word-search puzzle into tactile fiber art.
Each composition is designed individually around words chosen by the client — names, places, memories, relationships or short expressions with personal meaning. These words are integrated into a larger field of letters, allowing the artwork to be read both as an abstract graphic composition and as a private, personal message.
The versions shown here features the word LOVE and MOTHER, highlighted in deep red within an otherwise neutral letter field.
Every raised letter is handmade from macrame cord, giving the surface a soft, irregular texture and a sculptural quality that changes subtly with light and shadow. The letters are assembled using a homemade natural adhesive, while leftover macrame materials from my studio practice are incorporated whenever possible as part of a zero-waste approach.
The piece can be fully customized in terms of:
- hidden words and overall letter composition
- highlighted word or words
- letter colors
- background color
- dimensions
A new word-search arrangement for each custom piece can be made, so the final artwork will be unique to its owner.
The work is intended to sit somewhere between fiber art, typography and personal storytelling — a decorative object that can carry meaning without revealing it immediately.
Shown size: 50 x 50 cm / 19.7 x 19.7 in (LOVE) and 50 × 70 cm / 19.7 × 27.6 in (MOTHER)
Materials: Macrame cord, natural handmade adhesive, rigid art panel, acrylic paint
