Becoming rivers brings together organic movement, natural materials and subtle metallic reflections in a small circular abstract painting inspired by flowing water.
Across the textured surface, charcoal contours converge and separate, recalling streams gathering into a larger current. Their movement suggests both the continuous transformation of natural landscapes and the ways our lives are shaped by encounters and experiences.
I combine acrylic, natural sand and mineral pigments to create a granular surface where silver and warm golden tones respond to changing light. Raised contours introduce depth and movement, while the circular composition offers a soft contrast to architectural lines.
The restrained palette works naturally with wood, stone and other tactile materials, making the painting suitable for contemporary, organic modern and carefully curated eclectic interiors.
