James Oleson is a street artist, painter, and sculptor currently living and creating in St. Petersburg, Florida. He lives in the Artist Enclave of Historic Kenwood, and is former owner and creative director of Bloom Art Center.
Oleson’s work has been exhibited at numerous galleries and can be found in private collections throughout the United States. He has art in permanent collections at Crealdé School of Art and Lake Wales Art Center Sculpture Garden (FL), as well as on permanent display at Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (Dearborn, MI), Ocala City Hall (FL), and Hernando High School (FL).
He is the recipient of many awards and grants including 2015 and 2016 Individual Artist Grants from the City of St. Petersburg, 2010 Best in Show at ArtLoud Tampa, Best of Show Kissimmee Sculpture Experience, and the Outstanding You Award from Southwest Art Magazine.
