Ewa Budka is a Polish artist, graduated Masters with Rector’s honors in May of 2013, from the Department of Graphic Art and Design, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland, where she studied printmaking and graphic design. Awarded with an Art scholarship to attend the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in Wisconsin, USA, Budka finalized her research on a rarely practiced Japanese printmaking technique called Mokulito. She created her own printmaking technique naming it, Budkalito. With the exciting results of Budkalito, she was invited to give lectures and workshops around the world. Her work has been shown in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland; Warsaw, Katowice, Gdańsk, and Kraków, as well as in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles, London, Corsica, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Tokyo. Budka is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in drawing, painting and printmaking techniques. Colorful handmade marks on a paper are notes from Budka’s universe to outer reality. They show the primitive human instincts of frustration, love and struggle.
