ART & GUILE is a New York based studio with a passion for exploring the limits of authentic materials and the power of warm light and spirited forms to transform a space.
It was founded in 2016 by designer Chris Boynton and artist Kate Hopkins who draw from their diverse backgrounds in painting, printmaking, product design, 3D modeling, and moving image arts, to produce modern pieces that are considered expressions of warmth and unexpected form.
All of ART & GUILE’s pieces are made-to-order with demanding attention to detail and loving patience in our Long Island City, NY shop, in collaboration with a small number of local fabricators and craftspeople.
