I received my Master's Degree in Art from the University of Michigan before becoming a professional artist and educator. I received a Fulbright Grant to study in India, was one of 8 international ceramic artists to be invited to the International Ceramic Colony in Resen, Macedonia, received a South Carolina Arts Commission Individual Fellowship and have work currently traveling nationally in "Tradition/Innovation: American Masterpieces of Southern Craft and Traditional Art organized by South Arts and funded by the NEA. I am represented by Hodges Taylor in Charlotte, NC, Blue Spiral 1 in Asheville, NC, Hampton III in Greenville, SC, Eno Gallery in Hillsborough, NC and Tao Evolution in Hong Kong. I have had numerous solo shows to include the Mint Museum of Art, the Greenville County Museum of Art and have work in the Renwick Museum collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, Arrowmont, the Mint Museum, The Greenville County Museum of Art and the SC and TN Arts Commission permanent collections along with numerous private and corporate collections. My teaching experience includes Penland School of Crafts, Penland, NC, Odyssey, Asheville, NC, Arrowmont School of Crafts, the Mint Museum, Charlotte,NC, the Greenville County Museum of Art, SC, Francis Marion University, Florence, SC, USC in Conway, SC. and 10 years at the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC. Currently, I teach part-time at Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville, SC where I have lived and maintained a studio since 1996.
