Modern Macrame Mood Board for Your Next Decor Update

We’re loving how Wescover artists are giving macrame a modern revival. Once a textile art evocative of 1960’s counter-culture, we’re getting the sense that macrame is becoming a staple of bohemian decor style. In this mood board, we were inspired by down-to-earth tones and unique textures. Here are the pieces in the mood board:
1. Scribners Style Weave by The Catskill Kiwi
We’re loving this woodsy white macrame textile wall hanging. The artfully loosened strands give this piece by The Catskill Kiwi an organic edge that works perfectly in a mountain-lodge retreat like Scribner’s Catskill Lodge in Hunter, NY.

2. Woven Artwork by Liz Robb
This free flowing Woven Artwork macrame hanging by Liz Robb fits right in with the ambiance of Hi-Lo Hotel’s lobby in Portland. Robb also made a hand-painted tapestry with the hotel in collaboration with Jessica Helgerson Interior Design.

3. Woven Wall Hanging by Erin Barrett (Sunwoven)
We love the mix of materials in Erin Barrett’s (Sunwoven) woven wall hangings! By mixing fabrics and knots she’s able to expand her color scheme and tie them together. Her work looks perfect featured in this private home in Los Angeles, CA.

4. Knotted Wall Art by Ranran Design by Belen Senra
This Knotted Wall Art macrame piece by Belen Senra’s Ranran Design studio shows that macrame wall hangings are coming back in vogue, not just as a fashion choice but as an interior decor style.
