Tracey Adams – Musician Turned Painter
I want people to be engulfed by the depth and spatial quality of my work, to return because they feel a sense of peace and well being.
Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, United States
Originally trained as a musician — Tracey has work in the collections of the Bakersfield Art Museum, the Crocker Museum, the Hunterdon Art Museum, the Monterey Museum of Art, the Fresno Art Museum, the Tucson Art Museum, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
“I have used encaustic, molten and pigmented beeswax for twenty years. It creates a translucence and depth that allows the viewer to see through to many layers of color.”
“Charlie Haden, a jazz musician, said it best…”
‘We’re here to bring beauty to the world and make a difference in this planet. That’s what art forms are about.’
