Jake Koppen has been an artist and designer from a young age. His desire to create lead him to develop his skills as a woodcraftman and custom furniture maker, starting Koppen Woodworks and developing one-off pieces now placed in homes across the country. Jake has a passion for creating products which are handcrafted and bring beauty to a room both today and for generations to come. Jake works with individual clients to understand their personal style, the room setting and furniture requirements. His design and materials are carefully considered throughout the creative process and it is with Jake's passion and attention to detail that each product is handcrafted and delivered to an exceptional standard. Working from the Hildebrandt Artist Collective, Jake produces his pieces in a productive environment alongside like-minded artists. Pieces Koppen Woodworks philosophy is to honor the life of a tree by giving it a second life, to be considered an heirloom and appreciated over time. Each piece is unique and handmade using traditional joinery techniques tools with high-quality oil finishes, respecting the tree's origin and preserving its natural state. Furniture is custom made for the home or workspace and will be branded with the signature Koppen Woodworks logo. Materials Material is sourced from local timber suppliers across Ohio and all wood is personally selected by Jake. He has strong connections with local mills and suppliers who assist him in finding the highest quality materials. Staying true to the Koppen Woodworks philosophy, Jake searches for hard wood from trees having been harvested near the end of their life so not to disrupt nature.
