A gently inflated squiggle with a forest of legs, the table is a focal object, a distraction. The main form is taken from a stable of shapes used in many of my favorite works of art, one that always draws my eyes and gives me pause. The specific blue is one that eyes fall into, that has infinite pulsing depth. Too many legs is a question, a math game, a Venetian blind shadow. All of it is meant to be beautiful, strange and arresting, but not for the sole purpose of aesthetics - a powerful totem that clears the space surrounding it, externally and internally.
