Item Details
Ocean Voices II is a cedar and graphite sculpture that stands at the entrance of San Francisco International Airport. Created by Ursula von Rydingsvard, this epic wood sculpture was patiently carved and chipped using circular saws and chisels. Her longstanding use of wood is linked to memories of the makeshift structures that her Ukranian-Polish family inhabited while moving from one displaced-persons camp to the next across postwar Germany.
