Her life took a significant turn when she moved to the United States at sixteen, leaving her family behind amidst a backdrop of war and uncertainty in her homeland. After obtaining an honors degree in microbiology and pre-med from Arizona State University, Niloufar initially pursued a career in science. However, her love for art remained unwavering. She made the courageous decision to transition into the world of art, guided by mentors such as Dorothy Odland, Karen Frey, David Hardy, and Stephen C. Wagner.
