Item details

Nancy Saleme created this beautiful sculpture at the Joyce Kilmer Park, Bronx. As sparrows are creatures of resilience, audacity, intelligence, and beauty, she made an art installation of these birds to represent the search for equality. Titled, Flying High for Equality, this piece, depicting oversized sparrows, is a collaboration between her and Patricia Cazorla to help give color to her birds.
