Springfield Flame

Description
The City of Springfield commissioned sculptor Devin Laurence Field to create a large-scale sculpture. This bright red and silver piece resembling a flame, towers over Gateway Street and Randy Papé Beltline. Titled Flame, this piece has a minimalistic design that resembles the “three strokes of the pen” like the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. This 62-foot-tall metal sculpture aims to draw attention to the Gateway entrance to Springfield, Oregon, along Interstate 5.
