Public Sculptures by Albert Guibara seen at Tiburon Blvd, Tiburon, Tiburon - Blackie’s Pasture

Blackie’s Pasture

Immortalizing Blackie, a swaybacked horse who, for twenty-eight years, stood in the same spot in a pasture at the corner of Tiburon Boulevard, is this life-sized sculpture called Blackie’s Pasture. Created by Albert Guibara, this piece was erected at the same spot Blackie stood for decades and which he was a feature of the landscape, visited by children and adults who came to feed him carrots and hay. This bronze memorial is well loved as the real horse once was.
