A studio visit is an inspiring experience for both the collector and the artist. A rotating collection of current works is continuously on display in Steven Rudin’s workspace. These two collages capture imaginary moments filled with anticipation and excitement. Rudin’s work is derived from fragments culled from over thirty years of collecting magazines and catalogs. In an age of unprecedented exposure to pictures, the artist is interested in how media becomes intertwined with our memories and identities.
