As a self-taught artist, Kelly's work examines the way art shapes our environment, perception, and mood to engulf and reflect back all that surrounds us. Her paintings reflect much more than her gestural mark making or her emphasis on stroke, texture, and color. It is the embodiment of two worlds colliding, that of the five senses and that of the sixth. One in which is explained and one which lies beyond.
