Acrylic & oil pastels on 1.5" gallery canvas; colors wrap around the sides. Wired and ready to hang.
Stories from time in Cozumel, especially scuba diving, made their way to this canvas. The warm, humid air wrapped around ocean breezes and soft white sands, swimming deep in the Caribbean Sea, marveling in the reefs of sealife and exploring nearby ancient ruins and jungles in the Yucatan. Just another Mexican paradise to steal my heart and add to my lifelong memories.

"Capturing the everyday in abstract form."

All of my artwork is abstract with an organic, free-flowing nature…no hard lines or edges. My paintings are created intuitively, without any preconceived ideas or planned outcomes for the finished piece. I work in many layers, adding and subtracting until it reaches a certain balance and “feels complete”. Even though I work primarily with acrylic paint, I'm always exploring different styles, methods, mediums and substrates. Change is essential for me, in all areas of life, so I’m sure my work will continue to evolve as well.

My inspiration comes from the everyday world around me; these inspirations make their way to the canvas and tell a story. I usually start with a certain color palette, and as the layers develop, I let the colors, texture, marks and movement guide me. My hope is that each viewer can interpret their own story through this visual narrative.
