Cretian Hillside is a beautiful landscape watercolor painting done by Adam McCauley. It can be found at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
“I was recently contacted by the San Francisco Public Arts Commission to license the use of these two watercolor paintings that I made while traveling through Crete a few years back. They'll be printing them onto large metal panels and set on permanent display in the brand new Acute Care wing of SF General Hospital in the Mission District.”

Meet the Creator

Adam McCauley (b. 1965) is a San Francisco based illustrator, artist and arts educator who has been creating illustrations for clients nationally and worldwide since 1988 for editorial, publishing, institutional and advertising based clients. He's illustrated many book covers as well as 23 children's books, including his most recent, Are We There Yet?, and The Monsterologist, by Bobbi Katz, for which he won the Society of Illustrators Gold Medal. Adam's personal sketchbook work has been featured in American Illustration, Print Magazine and An Illustrated Life, by Danny Gregory.

Adam's animation, Fast Food, is in the permanent new media collection of SFMOMA. He is currently also an Associate Professor at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where he teaches Thesis, Illustration Core, Color Theory and Professional Practice classes.”
