Murals by Kari Serrao seen at Private Residence, Toronto - French Chateau

French Chateau

Item details

A badly appointed kitchen and bathroom installed by a previous owner were removed in order for the hallway to continue through the main floor of the chateau. The hallway was originally painted in the 18th century with marvelous murals depicting faux marbe paneling, a treatment quite in vogue at that time. The challenge here was to replicate the murals so that the transition from the original hallway into the new would be seamless. Concept and Interior Design: Thomas Wiggins
