Step into the tranquil oasis of The Elm Hotel's lobby, where this commissioned woven tapestry is a masterpiece and focal point inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape of hotel. Handcrafted with love and care, this stunning piece invokes a sense of peace and rest, reflecting the calm waters of the expansive lake that graces the hotel's doorstep.

Measuring 11 feet wide and 5 feet tall and including a variety of over 20 different types of natural fibers, this stunningly tactile tapestry pulls the viewer in with it's soft textures and watercolor-like palette.

THIS IS A MADE TO ORDER PIECE. Please message me for updated lead times, which typically fluctuate between 3-6 months. Adjustments to the color palette and design can be made upon request but may incur additional fees. While my aim in the recreation of a piece is to follow the original design as closely as possible, I also allow for the subtle nuances and one-of-a-kind qualities that arise from the intuitive nature of weaving.

This original piece, organic and wabi sabi in style, was originally commissioned by a private collector. The colors, materials, and design were carefully selected and approved before the piece was started. Each of my works is a one-of-a-kind sculptural tapestry created bespoke for your space. Photos can never do justice to the kind of impact these soft and tactile wall hangings have in a room.

Transforming meaning and memory into texture and color.

Using raw materials such as wool and cotton, I make sculptural wall hangings, woven together by hand. Located in the beautiful state of Utah, my work often reflects abstract landscapes, inspired by the textures and colors of the earth, water, and sky.

My work has so much more to do with creating something aesthetic for people’s homes: it’s about evoking emotions that connect us more deeply to ourselves, to each other, and to that deeper something that holds the essence and meaning of existence. My work is meant to connect and expand people in a way that brings meaning, purpose, and joy to the viewer. My intention as an artist is to create both a visual, tactile, and emotional experience for the viewer by intricately weaving meaning and memory into texture and color.

Even the rawest materials such as raffia or wool can be meticulously and gently twisted and formed with compassion into something stunningly beautiful as a whole. My work is deeply influenced by a desire to inspire others to be fiercely authentic, vulnerable, and most of all, human, while we all learn to accept, love, and celebrate who we are.
