Stoneware fluted mug glazed in floating blue-green glaze.
This fluted stoneware coffee mug was thrown on the wheel using stoneware clay. First I made the base and then after some drying time, I pulled the handle off the top of the mug and attached it to the base. This gives the entire form a lovely, organic, handmade touch. I then carved out ridges by hand in a vertical pattern. The texture is delightful to hold and also shows the blue-green color variations.
