Fiery Sunset Mountainscape: reclaimed wood and metal mountain art
This product is made to order and has a 4-6 week lead time before shipping. I send photos for your approval before I ship it out. The one in the picture is raw steel with clear coat.
First, choose a size under the tab labelled "Dimensions" and then choose the “Steel finish” you would like for the mountain scape. For this listing I offer raw steel with clear matte finish which looks blueish black in color. Keep in mind that the steel can contain small scratches and imperfections due to the nature of using raw steel. The second option if you are worried about small scratches and imperfections is to paint it in a black matte finish.
This art piece consists of reclaimed barn wood and some very weathered wood.
The entire art piece is made of 1/2" strips. Adding to the interest of the piece, I used some lichen encrusted wood for the greenery part of the landscape. I then used various colors of brown for the mountains. Finally, this was followed by the fiery red sky that was made from old barn siding that has been so weathered that only a small amount of red iron oxide paint remained on the wood. The frame is made of Poplar Hardwood stained in a Black Ebony finish. I then applied two coats of low VOC water based sealer to preserve the art piece.
The one in the picture measures 60"Long x 24" High x 2" deep
Each art piece is hand signed and dated in the back and I also make a custom made laser engraved wood name tag on the side of the piece.
I also include a heavy duty mounting bracket.
