Exploration and growth are a continual process for a large family in Bethesda, Maryland. In this large format collage, a man sets out on foot with his horse and his dog. Inspired by old Hollywood Westerns, the mood is suspenseful. He (nor the viewer) knows exactly where he is going or what he will find along the way. A golden fountain greets them at the top of a staircase. They won’t know their next move until they reach certain milestones. Uncertainty makes most of us feel nervous, but anxiety and exhilaration are closely related to each other.
