My largest mural to date, on Cook Street in Victoria BC. The building was named after Mr. Charlesworth, a former tenant of its sister building (where you will find my Lady Bell mural) who perished in WWI while piloting a DH4 bomber. This mural design was inspired by him and WWI, but I wanted to keep it light and happy for the neighbourhood. Set in the 1910s, people rejoice in what they have during wartime: music, tea, and company. This ended up hitting home after a global pandemic, as the design was created in 2019 and only completed in 2022.

Scribbles on Surfaces

I’m a freelance creator, focusing on illustration and muralling. I use juxtaposition of light and dark, bold and soft, black and white, and a muted palette to express emotion and evoke feeling in my audience. My aim is to inspire and uplift those who might stumble upon my work in an unexpected place, pausing to anchor into the present moment and reflect. It’s important for me to face my insecurities and fears to reach personal goals, to learn, to constantly evolve and stay spontaneous. In sharing this process with the public I hope to inspire others to push past their own limitations and strive for the “impossible”.
