abstracts & figure studies
Contemporary painter Leslie Poteet Busker is an American abstract and figure artist. Leslie's work integrates raw elements with thoughtful emotions to create quiet, refined pieces that are versatile in both modern and traditional interiors. Her abstracts capture moments of free-flowing experimentation, while her figure studies emphasize contours and body language.
Leslie received her Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from Virginia Tech in 1988. She was professionally licensed in 1990. Post university, she joined Clark Tribble Harris and Li Architects, PA in Charlotte, NC as a commercial interior designer. Her project work included national corporate headquarters, banks, and law firms. After marrying, Leslie retired from interior design, relocating to Charleston, SC. She began her study of painting years later, establishing a studio in her residence. She and her husband have two grown children and currently reside in Charlotte with their Portuguese Water Dog, Jed.
Her work can be found in public, private, and corporate collections across the country.
