Item Details
Avish Khebrehzadeh, an Iranian artist created this artwork found at Hall Wines. Entitled Maskhara 6, Maskhara 47, Maskhara 22, Maskhara with Squirrel, this piece was made using graphite and marker on layers of paper. These works are all part of a series called "Maskhara" (pronounced mass-kha-rah--Maskhara is a Farsi word for masquerade, which also has a double meaning: ridiculous). "In a way, I think wine has an unmasking role which adds another layer to the irony of the concept of "Maskhara."
Among her notable works are a series of large scale theater paintings with video animation projections which were exhibited at various galleries.
