Taking his inspiration from trees, branches and cell structures in plants No Title created a coherent series of murals, which examine the idea of life. The project consists of 45 murals in the hallways and common areas as well as 21 numbers in the stairwells. The art and the wayfinding are an integrated whole. Every painting is a small part of an overall work of art that connects the green outdoor areas with the interior spaces.
The images and colors transform a little bit for each floor, developing from roots at the ground floor to tree trunks, branches and tree crowns further up. The perspective alternates between close-up images inspired by microscopic structures and representations of trees and branches. Many of the murals are created with small dots inspired by plant cells. If you stand very close to one of the paintings, the image will dissolve in an abstract cloud of dots, but at a distance you will see images of branches, trees and roots. Depending on our perspective, our view of the organism we are looking at changes.
