VintageBy Marc Staples | Lago Luna Studio A Study in Industrial Contrast A striking exploration of texture and time, "Vintage" juxtaposes the raw, weighted history of cast iron with the sleek, modern precision of stainless steel. Designed and created by Marc Staples, this mixed-media sculpture is a celebration of industrial forms reimagined as fine art. The interplay between the dark, porous iron and the bright, reflective steel creates a dynamic visual tension, making it a sophisticated architectural feature for a curated space. Perfectly scaled for a desktop, mantle, or illuminated niche, it adds a distinctive, masculine elegance to executive offices or contemporary living spaces. One-of-a-Kind Provenance This is an original, singular work of art created by Master Craftsman Marc Staples at the Lago Luna Metal Art Studio. It is not part of a production series; once acquired, this specific composition will not be replicated, ensuring exclusivity for the collector. Specifications & Trade Details Dimensions: 14" High x 6" Wide x 6" Deep Medium: Mixed Media (Cast Iron & Stainless Steel) Style: Industrial Modern / Abstract Edition: Unique (1 of 1) Availability: Ready to Ship.

Original metal art formed and finished by hand from raw steel, bronze, and heat-fused patinas in our Virginia studio.

Lago Luna Studio is a fine art and dimensional metal studio founded by third-generation artist and sculptor Marc Staples, based in Buffalo Junction, Virginia. With a fine art practice spanning over three and a half decades, the studio explores the synthesis of nature, geometry, and architectural resonance—creating "architectural jewelry" and statement metalworks for modern interior and exterior spaces.

Marc's foundation in fine art was forged under the guidance of two twentieth-century masters: studying color theory and composition under painter Donald McAdoo, and later refining concepts of three-dimensional form, dynamic scale, and site-specific placement under sculptor Joseph Kinnebrew. A pioneer in high-end physical and digital media, Marc founded Richmond’s Heritage Giclee® Studio in 1996, where his deep command of color science became the technical backbone for his signature multi-layer patinas.

Today, Lago Luna Studio pioneers the Art-in-Metal movement, blending painterly intuition with structural fabrication. Every sculpture begins as raw steel, bronze, and copper—cut, hand-formed, acoustic-tuned, and finished with proprietary heat-fused and chemical patinas. Rejecting mass production, each work is an original, soulful artifact crafted direct from the Virginia studio. Available works and bespoke architectural commissions can be explored at lagoluna.com.
