Bone inlay arch mirror, sold as a set of three. Gothic cathedral window tracery cut by hand in bone. A large black wall mirror for an entryway or hallway.

⛪ Cathedral tracery, cut by hand

Three arched panels, the centre one taller, hung together as one piece. The tracery inside each arch is real bone, cut into ribs and quatrefoils and set individually into a black ground. Every rib meets its neighbour at a joint someone had to fit by hand.

Most gothic mirrors are cut from board and painted. This one is built the way a bone inlay chest is built, piece by piece, which is why the cream reads warm and slightly uneven up close rather than flat.

📐 Sizes

Small: 33 in W x 36 in H (84 x 91 cm)
Medium: 39 in W x 42 in H (99 x 107 cm)
Large: 45 in W x 48 in H (114 x 122 cm)

Depth 1 in. Width is measured across all three panels hung together.

Each panel hangs separately with its own fitting, so you can butt them close as shown or space them wider across a longer wall.

✦ Where it goes

Entryway or hallway above a console, which is what the arch shape was made for.
Living room or dining room on a dark wall, where the black frame recedes and the tracery reads as light.
Bedroom above a dresser, at headboard height.

Works on pale plaster and on deep green, navy or charcoal.

🕊️ Materials

Buffalo bone, hand cut and hand set
Solid frame body, black finish
Mirror glass
Resin

Made to order in India. Set by hand, so no two panels are identical. Small variations in tone and grain come with the craft.

🧼 Care

Dust with a dry soft cloth. Avoid cleaning sprays and standing water. Made for indoor walls, not for a steam room or an unventilated bathroom.

📦 Delivery

Crated for transit and shipped tracked from India.

Every piece is insured in transit. If a mirror arrives seriously damaged we replace it. If the damage is minor and can be put right where you are, we cover the repair.

Photograph the crate before you open it. It takes a second and it settles any claim quickly.
