Concrete Evidence is a one-of-one handcrafted lampshade composed of distressed imagery, fragmented typography, abstract markings, architectural textures and hand-torn layers.
Built around a palette of aged ivory, concrete gray, rust, tobacco brown, faded red and deep black, the piece has the feeling of an urban surface that has accumulated a history of its own. Fragments appear partially buried beneath other fragments; ink-like gestures interrupt softer areas, while weathered imagery emerges and disappears across the shade.
There is no repeating pattern. The composition continuously changes as you move around the lamp, making every angle its own small artwork. When illuminated, the layers take on a warmer character, revealing subtle variations in opacity, texture and color that are less apparent when the lamp is off.
The irregular edges, distressed surfaces and visible imperfections are intentional parts of the work. Each element is individually arranged and finished by hand, ensuring that Concrete Evidence exists only once.
Part functional lighting, part original mixed-media artwork, the piece is particularly suited to collected, industrial, contemporary, eclectic and art-forward interiors.
