DESCRIPTION:
The QZ6693 created by Alan Mizrahi Lighting can be seen in the auditorium of the Philadelphia MET. This piece weighed over 2 tons and took 4 days to assemble. Installed in February 2019, Alan Mizrahi Lighting is honored to be part of such a historic landmark. Be the life of the party ALL the time with this Huge Custom crystal Starburst Sputnik Chandelier, which glows with sophistication and pristine style. In addition to its extensively detailed design, there is also a huge celestial and space-oriented inspiration for this piece. The inspiration for it came from Wallace K. Harrison, the architect of the Metropolitan Opera House when he gave the designers of the original Sputnik, pictures of the galaxy. The original Sputniks are one of the most recognizable features of the opera house, and it's said that you can even see them through the windows from the outside!
