Sara Marlowe Hall is a Los Angeles based visual artist who trades in the art of dimension, temporality, and semblance. Raised between Venice Beach, California and London, Hall studied at Camberwell College of Arts and the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany. Through unique materials and textures Hall’s paintings push the traditional boundaries of expression. Mixing raw pigments, acrylic and plaster, Hall challenges the conventional use of canvas and paint by bringing a sculptural element to her work that evokes a nostalgia, a rich sensory experience, and vibrant emotion.
