Maria never quite fit in. As a kid, she preferred talking to the old ladies that visited her mom's hair salon rather than her peers. As a teenager, she took ballroom dance lessons and attended dances where she was the youngest person in the room (by far). She loved the slowness of small-town life- gardening, front porches, and quilts.
And while she adopted the traditional role of a homeschooling mom to her 5 kids - a role she highly values - she also didn't want to be boxed in by all the traditional expectations and found that she still didn't completely fit with her peers. She is entrepreneurial, creative, and likes to do hard things.
So, the idea for Delightfully Quilted was born from a desire to combine her passions for creativity and entrepreneurship. And her quilts reflect her own internal dichotomy – traditional quilt blocks but made with a modern flair of bold, bright colors, designed to bring joy and tranquility to a space.

Maria Fisher is the creator and quilter behind Delightfully Quilted - an online quilt boutique offering bold, Modern-Traditional Style Quilts. Maria never quite fit in.
