More About This Creator

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"I am always asking two questions: what else and what if? My work comes to life when I am willing to take a creative risk, when I try an idea that I am a bit hesitant about at first, but one that eventually allows me to play."

What do you want people to do or feel when they encounter your creations?

"I want people to see my images and feel welcome and connected. I want them to feel home and maybe even a bit nostalgic."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"I have had a lot of magical moments in the past few years that seemed to start with an anonymous Santa leaving packages on our front stoop at four in the morning for each of the twelve days of Christmas. The gifts were creative and elaborate, gorgeous and funny. Something about those twelve days became a catalyst for joy in my life. I have been making work much more playfully ever since. I have no idea who that secret Santa was, but that event was just a well timed and fun reminder that life is meant to be felt."
