I commit to only using materials which are vegan, FSC certified, and sourced within 100 miles. Our most recent project was working with emerging artists in NYC to render their beautiful works of art on a Baltic birch surface in stunning resolution. How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?
"When I collaborate with an artist the brief is crazy simple: "produce some kind of image in a 2:1 aspect ratio and we're going to make it into a table." A desk for your life's work means something different to everyone and I've never wanted to tell any of the artists which way to go, and it has always worked out."

What do you want people to do or feel when they encounter your creations?
"I'm shooting for a good old fashioned double take. I hope when people see our desks it challenges their traditional notion for what a desk can look like."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?
"My first furniture show got pretty out of hand. We had about 400 people show up to a gallery meant for half that. Much love to my mother-in-law for taking on coat check."
