I was born a creative and have always had a strong interest in the arts. My mother sculpted in wood and stone, and was an early influence in my life. There were always art supplies around for me to play with, and I loved to paint and draw.
As a young adult at college, I initially enrolled in an arts program, but was later discouraged from pursuing art as a career. Instead I became a computer programmer, which was considered to be a respectable and reliable job.
It was many years before I returned to art and even longer before I decided to take the plunge and become a full-time working artist. At times it's a challenge, but my love of creating carries me through.
My art has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad, and placed in numerous public, corporate and private collections. In addition, my work was selected for the American Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon in conjunction with the Art in Embassies Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
It is my pleasure and joy to create inspirational art to enrich your life.
