Opened winter 2019, Lazy Betty is a modern and inventive restaurant in Altanta’s Candler Park neighborhood from Chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips and restaurateurs Howard Hsu and Anita Hsu. Inspired by its community and guided by exquisite ingredients, the bright and well-executed tasting menus feature seasonal fare, made according to modern culinary technique and a thoughtful approach where every part contributes to the whole. Since opening in March 2019, Lazy Betty has received great acclaim. Most recently, the restaurant was named a James Beard Award semi-finalist for ‘Best New Restaurant’ in February 2019. The restaurant was awarded three-star reviews from both The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (here) and Atlanta Magazine (here), and it was also named “Best New Restaurant" by Atlanta Magazine (here) and “Restaurant of the Year” by Eater Atlanta (here). Nationally, the restaurant has been covered by Forbes, Travel Channel, Eater National, bon appétit and more, and was recently included on Condé Nast Traveler's "22 Best Restaurants in Atlanta" list (here) and on Thrillist's "Best New Restaurants 2019" list (here).
